BALDWIN, Donald Henry

Donald Henry Baldwin was born on October 31st 1924 to David Henry &  Evalina Anna "Eva" [Gustafson] Baldwin in Hibbing, Minnesota.

Mr. Baldwin inducted into the U.S. Naval Reserve June 9th 1943 and reported to duty on June 16th. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Fire Controlman Third Class aboard the USS Irwin (DD 794) in the Pacific Theater. The Irvin was a Fletcher-class destroyer in the U.S. Naval fleet.

He was honorably discharged on March 12th 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the war he returned home and married Lillian Mae [Rikala] and they started a family.

Mr. Baldwin died on December 9th 1995 at the age of 71 years. He is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
