Donald J. Meizo

Donald J. Meizo of Gheen was inducted into the Army on August 26, 1942.

He was a Private, a rifleman and port power generator operator with Company F in the 184th Infantry Regiment in the Aleutians and Kwajalein (Marshall Islands) Campaigns. He was wounded in action on February 1, 1944 in Kwajalein Atoll.

Mr. Meizo received a: Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on November 3, 1944.
