Donald Robert Haltvick entered the Army on February 4, 1946.

He served as a Private in the infantry.

Discharged March 7, 1946, Fort McClellan, Alabama.

He also served as a Colonel with the 38th Infantry Regiment from March 8, 1946, to September 7, 1947.
