Mr. Babich inducted into the Army on March 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and a postal clerk with Headquarters Detachment of the 60th Quartermaster Battalion in the European Theater.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on January 27, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
