Earl J. Cook

Earl J. Cook gaduated Denfeld 1942 and entered the Navy in Nov.,1942.

Boot camp at Farragut. Assigned to Fleet Marine Forces and shipped out on troop ship Seawitch (47 days) as 1st Division replacement, arrived Cairns, Australia and LST to Milne Bay, New Guinea. "End of war for me came at Cape Gloucester, New Britain Christmas, 1943.

(I was)Flown to Navy Hospital Brisbane. Since west coast hospitals were full (I) was shipped to Navy Hospital Portsmouth , Virginia and finally discharged April 1945 upon arrival Vets Hospital Fort Snelling." After war and U of M was Aero Engineer. Now retired to Hawaii.
