Edward E. Haryn

Edward E. Haryn of Florenton, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on March 23, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and mortar man in Troop A of the 86th Cavalry Squadron in Northern France. He was wounded in action in France, Aug. 4, 1944.

He was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star.

He received a disability discharge July 24, 1945 atPercy Jones Army General Hospital Center at Fort Custer, Mich.
