Edward F. Russ

Edward F. Russ of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Naval Reserve on June 11, 1943.

He was a Sonarman 3rd Class aboard the USS Eaton (DD 510), in the Pacific Theater and the China Sea, during the Borneo campaign, and the Philippines.

He was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with 2 bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on April 3, 1946.
