Edward J. Gorshe

Edward J. Gorshe was inducted into the Army on June 19, 1941at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a First Sergeant and administrative NCO with Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion of the 261st Infantry Regiment of the 65th Infantry Division in Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Gorshe was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged Dec. 30, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
