Edward L. Krivz

Edward L. Krivz of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on June 23, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with the Headquarters and Service Company, 294th Engineer Combat Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Krivz received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was discharged on November 21, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis..

He also served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, 1948-1952, as a Staff Sergeant.

He was awarded the: Korean Service Medal with one bronze battle star United Nations Service Medal.

He was discharged on November 7, 1952 at Treasure Island, Calif.
