Edwin B. Niemi

Edwin B. Niemi was inducted into the Army on Sept. 2, 1942.

He was a Private First Class and a cannoneer with Battery C, 534th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in Rome-Arno, Italy; Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Niemi was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 3 bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and 5 overseas service bars.

He was discharged Oct. 29, 1945.
