SEINOLA, Eino Walter

Eino Walter Seinola was born on October 11th 1909 to Frank August & Mathilda “Tilda” [Rauti] Seinola in Alango, Minnesota.

Mr. Seinola was inducted into the Army on April 30th 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a carpenter with Company A of the 1684th Engineer Combat Battalion in the Aleutian Islands. He rose to the rank of Technician Fifth Grade (TEC5)

TEC5 Seinola earned the following merits for his service:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 bronze battle star,  -and-
  • World War II Victory Medal.

 

He was honorably discharged on November 24th 1944, at Camp Swift, Texas.

Mr. Seinola died on November 25th 1989 at 80 years of age in Angora, Minnesota. He is buried at in at the Alango Cemetery in Angora.
