Elizabeth J. Donahue (nee O'Hara)

Elizabeth J. Donahue (nee O'Hara) entered the Army Nurse Corps June 1, 1943.

She was commissioned 1st Lieutenant and served as a Nurse with the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colorado in 1943 and the 167th General Hospital in England. The 167th hospital received up to 300 patients a day from combat.

She celebrated VE Day in Paris.

She returned to the continental U.S. in the fall of 1945.

She served in the burn unit at Percy Jones General Hospital in Camp Custer, Michigan.

Mrs. Donahue was awarded the American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

She was honorably discharged March 4, 1948, at Camp Custer, Mich.
