Elmer G. Johnson

Elmer G. Johnson entered the Army August 5, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and radio operator with the 30th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron Mechanized in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Johnson was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars. 

Honorably discharged November 20, 1945, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
