Elmer J. Mattson

Elmer J. Mattson was inducted into the Army Air Corps on June 13, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and truck driver with the 866th Air Engineer Squadron in the European Theater

Mr. Mattson was awarded the following: Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. 

He was honorably discharged on October 23, 1945, at Camp Grant, Illinois.
