Eric L. Lundin

Eric L. Lundin entered the Navy on September 12, 1946, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and seaman with the 347th Harbor Craft APO, Yokohama, Japan. Enlisted at the age of 15 with his father's permission (one less mouth to feed). After six weeks of basic training, he was shipped to Japan. Operated a 45 Patrol Boat for harbor patrol and after one year transferred to a 104 foot patrol boat as chief engineer during the occupation of Japan.

He was awarded the following: World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).

Mr. Lundin was honorably discharged on September 11, 1949, at Yokohama, Honshu, Japan.

He re-enlisted from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean War.
