Eric Nevalainen

Eric Nevalainen was inducted into the Army on March 22, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and pioneer with Headquarters Company of the 110th Infantry Regiment in Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Nevalainen was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged November 22, 1945, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
