Ernest E. Williams

Ernest E. Williams was inducted into the Army on November 23, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Aurora, Minnesota.

Mr. Williams served as a Private First Class and ammunition bearer with the Antitank Company of the 33rd Infantry Regiment of the 83rd Infantry Division in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He received the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

Mr. Williams was honorably discharged on March 21, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
