Ernest A. Mattson

Ernest A. Mattson of Biwabik, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Sept. 16, 1942.

He was a Technician 5th Grade with Company C, 314th Engineer Combat Battalion in the Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Mattson was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and an overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged November 14, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
