Eugene "Gene" H. Welshinger served in World War II in the U. S. Army with the 533rd Anti-Aircraft Battalion.

He was born March 9th, 1919 in Rutledge, Minnesota and he was the son of Winnard and Hannah Welshinger.

He graduated from Morgan Park High School.

Mr. Welshinger passed away on April 21, 2008 in Duluth, Minnesota at the age of 89.
