Floyd J. Irwin

Floyd J. Irwin of Virginia, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on July 25, 1942. He was a Staff Sergeant, anti-tank NCO, Company B, 772nd Tank Destroyer Battalion, Central Europe, Ardennes, Rhineland. He was wounded in action in Germany on April 7, 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 3 bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was discharged April 29, 1947.
