Floyd R. Anderson

Mr. Anderson entered the Army on June 5, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and infantryman with Ninth Company, Third Student Training Regiment. Attended the Infantry Officer Candidate School. He served as a Captain and motor transport officer with Infantry Replacement Training Center in California.

He was awarded the following: American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Anderson was released from active duty on April 17, 1946, at Camp Beale, California.

"He was prepared to fight for his country; however, a medical situation kept him from going overseas."
