Francis Gagnon of Mountain Iron, Minnesota, was inducted into the Naval Reserve July 2, 1943.

He served as a Machinist's Mate 3rd Class and an equipment operator with the 127th Construction Battalion (Seabees) in the continental United States.

He was honorably discharged Nov. 27, 1945 at Minneapolis, Minn.
