Frank J. Janezich was inducted into the Army April 28, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and instrument observer with Company A of the 290th Infantry Regiment in the Aleutian Islands, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action on April 14, 1945, in the European Theater of Operation.

Mr. Janezich  was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal  and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 1, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
