Title of article: Duluth Soldier Wounded Twice

“During his two-year service in the North African theater T-Sgt. Frank M. Johnson, Duluth, has been hospitalized twice. Last Nov. 8 his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson, Bayview Heights, were notified by the war department that he had been wounded in action. Two months later the Red Cross informed them he had recovered and was back in combat duty. Yesterday, the Johnsons received the first letter from their son since Christmas—and it bore the return address “General Hospital.” Sergeant Johnson left Duluth with the 125th Field Artillery and participated in the Sicilian and Italian campaigns.”
