Fred Charles Prebil

Fred Charles Prebil entered active Army duty June 30, 1941. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Lieutenant Colonel and Quartermaster staff with Headquarters V Corps in Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland.

Mr. Prebil was awarded the following: Meritorious Service Citation, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) with Bronze Arrowhead.

He was relieved from active duty December 12, 1946, at Camp Beale, California.
