Fred N. Maki

Fred  N. Maki was inducted into the Army on October 28, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and cannoneer with Battery D of the 456th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Maki was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
