Fred W. Gustafson

Fred W. Gustafson was inducted into the Army in March, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and rifleman with the 35th Infantry Division in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was wounded in action.

Mr. Gustafson was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Distinguished Unit Citation and European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal.

He was discharged on Oct. 14, 1945 at Fort Bliss, Tex.
