Frederick H. Oman of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 24, 1942.

He was a Sergeant and a surveyor and foreman on construction of the Burma Road by Company B, 30th Engineer, ASFTC.

Mr. Oman received the: Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Service Medal with a bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Oct. 11, 1945.
