Frederick R. Ambrosh

Frederick R. Ambrosh of Gilbert was inducted into the Army on June 20, 1941. He was a technician 4th grade and an auto mechanic with Headquarters and Service Company, 370th Engineer Combat Battalion, serving in Algeria and Tunisia in North Africa, Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno in Italy along with duty in southern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars. He was discharged on Oct.1, 1945.
