Galen T. Kingsley

Galen T. Kingsley of Kelsey, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 14, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Technician 5th Grade and a demolition specialist with Company C, 188th Engineer Battalion, in New Guinea, Guadalcanal, Northern Solomons, and Luzon.

Mr.  Kingsley received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 16, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
