George J. Hart of Ball Club, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on November 14, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Corporal and infantryman in the 426th Airborne Quartermaster Company, 101st Airborne Division in Normandy, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action, shrapnel. "Minor wound in my left knee. I and a medic removed it and I did not report it."

Mr. Hart was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Meritorious Unit Award, Fourragere Military Award, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged December 19, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
