George Klaysmat was inducted into the Army on January 13, 1946, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home of entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and power-man with Company A of the 39th Training Battalion in the continental U.S. Honorably discharged on July 12, 1946, at Camp Polk, Louisiana.

He reenlisted in the Regular Army on July 13 and served as a Private First Class and construction machine operator with the 633rd Engineer Light Equipment Company in the continental U.S.

Mr. Klaysmat was awarded: World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on August 16, 1947, at Fort Lewis, Washington.
