George L. Kovatovich

George L. Kovatovich of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 19, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Staff Sergeant and topographic surveyor with the 292nd Field Artillery Observation Battalion in the Rhineland of Central Europe.

Mr. Kovatovich received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany), World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on April 27, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
