George M. Marincel

George M. Marincel of Mountain Iron, Minnesota entered the Army Air Corps on Dec. 4, 1941.

He was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant and was a bombardier in the European Theater for Air Offensive Europe in northern France.

Mr. Marincel was awarded the: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on Oct. 9, 1945 at Souix City, Iowa.
