UBER, Glen Lewis

Glen Lewis Uber was born in Yuma, Colorado on July 7th 1918 and the family later moved to Idaho.

He was inducted into the Army on December 3rd 1941 at Buhl Twin Falls, Idaho.

Mr. Uber served as a Private First Class and litter bearer with Company B of the 25th Medical Battalion in Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands Campaign, and Luzon.

He was awarded the following medals:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • American Defense Medal,
  • Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars,
  • World War II Victory Medal,
  • Bronze Arrowhead, -and-
  • Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star.

 

PFC Uber was honorably discharged on July 6th 1945, at Fort Logan, Colorado.

He died in Duluth, Minnesota on July 28th 1994 at the age of 74. He was buried at Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik, Minnesota.
