Glenwood J. Hallow

Glenwood J. Hallow of Ely, Minnesota, enlisted in the Army Air Corps on October 22, 1942.

He served as a Staff Sergeant and airplane mechanic-gunner in the 866th Bomb Squadron (Heavy) in the Air Offensive Japan, Eastern U.S. Mandates, Southern Philippines, Luzon, Western Pacific and Ryukyus.

Mr. Hallow was awarded the Air Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged November 8, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
