Gordon E. Koziol

Gordon E. Koziol entered into the Army on November 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Red Ore, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and truck driver with Company D of the 24th Medical Battalion and 24th Infantry Division in New Guinea, Luzon Island, and Southern Philippines (Liberation).

Mr. Koziol was awarded the: Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 4, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
