Gordon A. Olson

Gordon A. Olson was inducted into the Army on February 27, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Buhl, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician 3rd Grade and clerk typist with Headquarters of the 13th Photo Intelligence Detachment in Tunisia, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, Air Combat Balkans, and Central Europe.

Mr. Olson was awarded the following: Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and six overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 10, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
