Gordon W. Kindberg

Gordon W. Kindberg was inducted into the Army on August 11, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Corporal and served as a tank crewman with Company B, 21st Tank Battalion in the Rhineland and the Ardennes. He was wounded in action on January 6, 1944 in the European Theater.

Mr. Kingberg was awarded the: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on October 1, 1945 at McCaw Army General Hospital, Walla Walla, Wash.
