Harlan J. Olson

Harlan J. Olson entered the Army on June 3, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and Browning Automatic Rifleman with the 100th Infantry in Rhineland and Central Europe. Landed in Marseille, France, and ended up in Stuttgart. Germany. Served a year with the occupation of Germany in Berlin.

He was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Infantryman Badge, and two overseas service bars.

Mr. Olson was honorably discharged on April 8, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
