Harry Ross

Harry Ross entered the Army on Sept. 19, 1921.

He reenlisted in the years 1924, 1926, 1927, 1929, 1930, 1933, 1937, 1940, 1945, and 1948.

He was a Master Sergeant and served in North Africa at El Guettar and Gafsa during the Tunisian campaign, and at Beja, Mateur, Sicily, Ousselitia Valley, Kassarine Pass, Faid Pass, and Bandrada during the Italian campaign.

Mr. Ross was wounded in action and received the: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 9 bronze battle stars.

He was discharged on Nov. 7, 1945 to enlist in the regular Army.
