Henry Brand

Mr. Brand served in World War II.

He served in the U.S. Navy. On February 8, 1944, he graduated from the Naval Training School in St. Louis, Missouri. He was granted eligibility for petty officer ratings of Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class.

On March 12, 1944, his rank was Fireman 1st Class.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Brand of Duluth, Minnesota.

“Two Duluth men were granted eligibility to qualify for petty officer ratings of electrician’s mate third class at graduation exercises held the week of Feb. 8 at the naval training school, St. Louis, Mo. They are Lawrence W. Scott, soon of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Scott, 102 Michigan street, and Henry Brand, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Brand, 1329 East Second street. Both are firemen first class.”
