Henry Polichnik

Henry Polichnik was inducted into the Army on April 28, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and rifleman with Company A of the 155th Infantry Regiment in New Guinea and Southern Philippines (Liberation).

Mr. Polichnik was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and Bronze Arrowhead, Philippines Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars. 

He was honorably discharged on December 22, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
