Hewitt M. Hanson

Hewitt M. Hanson of Duluth, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on April 13, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Staff Sergeant and mess sergeant in the 29th Medical Training Center, then 166th Army General Hospital in the continental United States and European Theater. In the fall of 1945 he was transferred to the 82nd Hospital Train as a mess sergeant. The train transported patients from Paris to hospital ships at Bremerhaven, Germany.

Mr. Hanson was honorably discharged May 5, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis
