LAUBER, Howard Benjamin

Howard Benjamin Lauber was born on December 17th 1912 to Joseph H. & Anna Wilhelmina (Prank) Lauber in Hibbing, Minnesota. He married Ethel May [Anderson] on May 13th 1934.

Mr. Lauber enlisted for military service on October 1st 1943. He was inducted into the U.S. Naval Reserve on October 28th 1943 during WWII.

He was a Motor Machinist's Mate 2nd Class (MoMM2c) on the USS Leyte and USS Maui (ARG 8) in the Pacific Theater.

He was honorably discharged on December 4th 1945 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the war he returned home to his wife and they raised a family.

Mr. Lauber died on October 15th 2010 at 97 years of age in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
