Irving S. Olson

Irving S. Olson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 10, 1942.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and a locomotive fireman with the 761st Railway Transportation Company serving in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia in North Africa, Rome-Arno in Italy and the Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Olson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Sept. 13, 1945.
