He was born May 29, 1926, in Carlton, Minnesota, the son of Oscar and Ruth (DePrey) Finberg.

Mr. Finberg was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze StarMedal.

He died at age 82 in Duluth, Minnesota, on October 8, 2008.
