Jacob N. Aro

Mr. Aro inducted into the Army on October 15, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Cook, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a light truck driver with Anti-Tank Company, 381st Infantry Regiment. Served in Southern Philippines and Ryukyu Islands.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Rifleman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star,  and three overseas service bars.

Mr. Aro was honorably discharged on January 4, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
