Jalmer J. Luukkonen of Iron, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on July 6, 1942.

He was a Corporal with the 553rd Army Air Forces Base Unit in the European Theater.

Mr. Luukkonen received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was discharged on November 10, 1945 Truax Field, Madison, Wis.
