James B. Trembath

James B. Trembath entered the Navy on September 22, 1943. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

Mr. Trembath served as a Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class and medical corpsman with Company B of the Third Medical Battalion of the Third Marine Division in Guam and Iwo Jima. He was wounded in action on March 17, 1945, in Iwo Jima.

Mr. Trembath was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on April 12, 1946.
